According to the policy, Paratransit service is a public transportation service offered by Petersburg Area Transit for qualifying individuals who have a disability that would prevent them from using the regular fixed route bus. There is an application process to receive this service. Please see the application on the Paratransit Application page. Regulations and standards have been established for this service by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It is also sometimes called ADA services.
We will transport from the service origin to the Bus Multimodal Center located Downtown Petersburg at 100 W. Washington Street. From there you can catch the PAT Richmond Express ( http://www.petersburg-va.org/872/Petersburg-Area-Transit-Richmond-Express ) or the GRTC 95X to Richmond, VA.
