A public hearing will be held by Petersburg City Council on June 18 at Union Station, beginning at 7:30pm, for the purpose of Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) making the following Route changes: Discontinue Routes: - Southpark Mall - VSU/Ettrick/Pocahontas Discontinue Portions of Routes: - Central State Hospital and Southside Virginia Training Center (Washington St. Route) - Fort Lee (Blandford/Hopewell Route) Reduce Service of Routes: - Mall Plaza - Virginia Ave. Combine Service of Routes: - Washington St. and Lee Ave will be merged on Saturdays only At the public hearing, citizens, agencies, and businesses can speak about concerns related to the bus route changes. Public Hearing: A public hearing to receive public comment on proposed Ordinance adding and ordaining Chapter 2.5-1 to the Code of the City of Petersburg establishing a Code of Ethics for officials and employees of the City. Additional information regarding the above-referenced matter may be obtained from the Office of the Clerk of City Council, City Hall, Room 210, or by telephone at (804) 733-2323. Public Notice is hereby given to all interested persons the City of Petersburg City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Union Train Station located at 103 River Street to receive comments on the recommended Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2014 - 2018. The CIP proposes projects including General Government, Judicial; Utilities; Fire and Emergency Services, Police; Parks and Leisure Services, Library, Museums, Sherriff, Public Works and Commissioner of the Revenue and includes a funding plan for the projects. Public Notice: A new City of Petersburg Right-of-Way Permit Policy has been established to describe the means and methods which entities will be permitted to work within the Right-of-Way of the City of Petersburg. This policy went into effect as of May 1, 2013, any work in City Right-of-Way must have a permit approved prior to work being performed.
