City of Petersburg Government Offices Closed
in Observance of Independence Day Holiday
Petersburg, Virginia: Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Closed offices include: City Hall, City Hall Annex, Parks & Leisure Services, Blandford Cemetery Records Office, Petersburg Public Library, Petersburg Area Transit Administrative Offices and Customer Service, and Petersburg Freedom Support Center.
Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, July 8, 2019.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will remain open during normal business hours on July 4th and 5th.
Petersburg Area Transit Administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th. Bus service (including Para-Transit) will not be available on Thursday, July 4th. Bus service (including Para-Transit) will resume on Friday, July 5th.
Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) residential recycling and trash collections will be delayed one-day Thursday, July 4th through Friday, July 5th. No collections will be made on Thursday; thus all collections Thursday through Friday will occur the day following the normal collection day. Friday collections will occur on Saturday.
