Petersburg City Council and Miss Community Clovia of Radio One Richmond will host I AM PETERSBURG Restore Day on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Petersburg Freedom Support Extension Building (22 West Washington Street). This event is open to everyone and free to attend.
“I am proud to bring this event back to Petersburg,” comments W Howard Myers, Mayor of Petersburg. “Most importantly, people who have made a mistake and paid their debt to society should have their rights restored as quickly and efficiently as possible. This community day will be an opportunity for our residents to be linked with the resources the City provides in one location.”
I AM PETERSBURG Restore Day will host a variety of community vendors including: cooking classes from Bon Secours Freedom Healthcare Associates, restoration of rights application processing with Rolling for Freedom, lifesaving demonstrations from the American Red Cross, physical fitness activities, tax information, housing assistance, veterans services, and children activities.
