The Petersburg Department of Public Works (DPW) is prepared for the winter weather predicted for tonight and tomorrow. City workers have begun to monitor the conditions of the streets and bridges. Effective 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, DPW will be treating bridges and hills needing special attention prior to the arrival of the freezing rain at 1 a.m.
Petersburg Area Transit will continue to operate bus services as long as street conditions remain safe.
