Petersburg Government Offices Closed for New Year Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in observance of the New Year holiday. Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open on Thursday, January 1, 2025. Visit www.dogwoodtracegolf.com/ for available tee times.
On New Years Eve Petersburg Area Transit will operate bus service from the hours of 6:15 am to 6:15 pm with the last departure at 5:15pm from Petersburg Station. There is no bus service on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1. For questions regarding Transit, please contact Customer Service at (804) 733-2450 or visit www.ridePAT.com.
There will be no CVWMA recycling or Meridian Waste trash collection on Thursday, January 1. All Thursday and Friday collections will slide to the following day, with Friday collections moving to Saturday.
