The City of Petersburg's annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration will take place at the Petersburg Public Library at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 19. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend. This year's keynote speaker is Dr. John Kinney, the Message of Hope will be delivered by Pastor Lamont A. Hobbs, and there will be performances by The Company Band and Solomon Hill.
Be sure to also come out for the inaugural MLK Day Parade on Monday, January 20 at 9:00 am, hosted by Sheriff Vanessa Crawford, beginning on Pocahontas Island!
