Petersburg Government Offices Closed for Christmas Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Monday, December 23, and remain closed through December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Thursday, December 26.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will close at 2:00 pm on December 23 and December 24, due to the weather. It is closed on Christmas Day and reopens on Thursday, December 26.
Petersburg Area Transit will operate a normal bus schedule on Monday, December 23. There will be no bus service on December 24 and 25. For questions regarding Transit, please contact Customer Service at (804) 733-2450.
Petersburg Public Library will be closed Monday, December 23 (except for the Special City Council meeting at 12:00 pm), through Wednesday, December 25, and reopens on Thursday, December 26
CVWMA recycling and Meridian Waste trash collections will be delayed during the week of December 23 for those with collection days that fall on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. There will be no collection on Wednesday, December 25. These collections will slide to the following day, with Friday collections moving to Saturday. Live undecorated Christmas trees can be disposed of by setting them on the curb next to your trash cart and will be picked up on your regular trash collection day. Trees will not be recycled. Residents should either bag their tree or secure the branches with twine.
