Mayor W Howard Myers issued the following statement in respect to the passing of Petersburg Vice Mayor and Ward 2 Councilor, Carl “Mike” Ross:
“I am saddened about the loss of Carl “Mike” Ross. His passing marks the end of someone who was an integral part of the city of Petersburg. His kind spirit will be sorely missed. I will miss the camaraderie he and I shared sitting next to each other during city council sessions. His life is in God’s hands now and I pray that we will continue to move forward as a city through his blessings. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this time of loss.”
