LIVE! CASINO VIRGINIA ANNOUNCES INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR THE UPCOMING RICHARD BLAND COLLEGE DEALER INSTITUTE
Information Sessions Will Provide Details on Dealer Institute and Career Opportunities for Casino Table Games Dealers
Live! Casino Virginia announced a schedule for Information Sessions where local residents can get additional information about attending the upcoming Richard Bland College Dealer Institute.
Three information sessions will be held for individuals interested in launching a career in casino table games. These sessions, which are open to the public, will take place at the Petersburg Public Library (located at 201 W Washington St, Petersburg, VA 23803) on the following dates:
- 8/13/2025 5:00pm - 7:00pm
- 8/20/2025 5:00pm - 7:00pm
- 8/27/2025 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Each information session will give participants an inside look at the exciting career path of a table games dealer. Attendees will learn about the Dealer Institute curriculum, hear directly from casino professionals and must take an on-site math assessment. Successful completion of the math assessment qualifies candidates for enrollment in the RBC Dealer Institute. No prior experience is required. A strong interest in gaming and a willingness to learn is suggested.
All Dealer Institute classes will be taught by experienced and licensed instructors who will professionally prepare students to enter the fast-paced casino industry. Graduates of the Dealer Institute will be provided the opportunity to apply for positions at Live! Casino Virginia. Completion of the course does not guarantee employment.

The new Live! Casino Virginia temporary gaming facility will create approximately 500 permanent new jobs for local and regional residents, with more than 100 of those positions being table games dealers. This temporary gaming facility, which will open pending regulatory approval, will include the following amenities:
- 75,000 square feet of gaming space
- 900 state-of-the-art slots
- 33 live action table games
- Casino bar and quick service restaurant
- 1,000 free parking spots
