Petersburg Real Property Tax Billing
Petersburg real estate property owners recently received their second-quarter tax bills. These bills include those sent to property owners whose mortgage companies typically handle tax payments. In this situation, mortgage-coded property owners are advised to disregard these bills, as the mortgage companies have also received the necessary invoices.
This error occurred during the transition to a new format for real estate tax bills and a change to a contractor handling the printing and mailing of these bills. Unfortunately, incorrect information was provided to the contractor during this process, sending bills to property owners and their mortgage companies.
Property owners are encouraged to contact the Petersburg Customer Care and Collections Department with questions or concerns. They can be reached by phone at (804) 733-2346 or via email at citycollector@petersburg-va.org.
Additionally, customers can view and pay their bills online through the City’s payment portal: https://www.petersburg-va.com/Applications/cpage/Default.aspx?ctid=1.
