Petersburg Government Offices Closed for Christmas Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will close on Friday, December 22 at noon and remain closed through December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, December 26.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will close at 2:30 pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on Tuesday, December 26.
The following are holiday operating hours for Petersburg Area Transit Bus Operations:
PAT will be operating a normal schedule on 12/22/23.
For December 23 and December 30, PAT will follow the shutdown times below:
County Drive last run 12:45 pm
Richard Bland/South Crater Express last run 12:45 pm
Walnut Hill's last run 12:45 pm
City of Hopewell's last run 12:45 pm
South Park Mall, South Crater Rd. Blandford, Halifax Street, Washington St/Lee Avenue, and Ettrick all last runs are at 1:15 pm

Petersburg Public Library will close at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 22, and reopen on Tuesday, December 26.
CVWMA recycling and trash collections will be delayed during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. There will be no collection on Monday, Dec. 25, or Monday, Jan. 1. All collections will slide to the following day, with Friday collections moving to Saturday both weeks. Live undecorated Christmas trees can be disposed of by setting them on the curb next to your trash cart and will be picked up on your regular trash collection day. Trees will not be recycled.
