UPDATE: Crews Continue to Repair Water Line Breaks in Downtown Petersburg

The City of Petersburg Public Works staff and contractors continue to work to repair several water line breaks at the intersection of Bank and N. Sycamore Streets. As a result, crews are expected to work on the repairs until midnight or possibly later.
 

The broken lines have left many buildings and customers in the Downtown and Old Towne areas without water or low water pressure. It remains uncertain whether all City buildings in the area will be open on Tuesday.

The City would like to thank residents and business owners for their patience and cooperation during this challenging time and wants to assure everyone that all possible measures are being taken to repair the water lines as soon as possible.
