Real property is assessed as of July 1 each year by the City Assessor. Real estate is billed quarterly with due dates of 9/30, 12/30, 3/30, and 6/30 (which completes the fiscal year). A late payment penalty of ten percent is added on the first business day after the due date; plus interest at an annual rate of ten percent. Failure to receive a tax bill will not relieve taxpayers of penalty and interest charges. For changes of ownership, billing address or any other changes pertaining to property, please notify the Treasurer's Office.
Bills are forwarded to mortgage companies by request in writing at least 60 days before the payment is due. Should you receive a tax bill on property which is covered through a mortgage escrow account, please forward the bill to your company immediately.
