| The Department of Planning and Community Development endeavors to preserve and enhance the quality of life of all residents of the city by encouraging and promoting the orderly use of land for redevelopment and growth through intermediate and long range comprehensive and strategic planning, by implementing the City's Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance and other land use regulations and policies, and by fostering neighborhood revitalization and stability.
