BOARD OF ZONNING APPEALS
The regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is the usually the fourth Thursday of each month. There are certain times, as noted above, when the BZA meets on a fifth Thursday. Applications to bring appeals, special use exceptions, and variances before the BZA must be filed with the Zoning Administrator before the close of business on the date specified as the deadline for applications (thirty days before a scheduled meeting date). A fee of $50.00 per request is due upon filing of an application. Notice of the appeal, special exception or variance is published during the two weeks prior top a regular meeting. If the number of petitions filed exceeds a number that the BZA may consider during one meeting, a second meeting may be scheduled on the next Thursday for the consideration of the additional cases.
