DUTIES: Performs responsible administrative, technical and professional work managing Petersburg Area Transit; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Works Director. Supervision is exercised over all staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in urban planning, transportation, or related field and considerable experience in the administration of a transportation operation. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a valid appropriate Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in an office environment and outside. Ability to stand, stoop, walk, and climb in areas of difficult or limited access.
