Pickleball coming to Petersburg

Did you know? Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net.  Join us on Saturday, September 18, 2021, 8:am-12noon, Legends Park (Lee park). DJ Foot will provide the music  and breakfast bars, fruit and water will be provided. All are welcome.....seniors, adults and youth.  Looking forward to seeing you. Equipment will be provided. Free and open to the Petersburg residents.

Petersburg residents (Ages 6-14) are you ready for Pop Up Summer Recreation Camps ( Tennis, Golf, Gardening, Basketball, Cheerleading, & Karate)......... 

 We are hoping you are ready for Outdoor Physical Fitness programs that will teach the basic fundamentals of each sport and provide physical fitness fun.  See the flyer below and parents/guardians can register each child at the Parks & Leisure Services Office, 1937 Johnson Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. For additional information - please all 804-324-4015.

City of Petersburg Recreation Facilities are closed to the public due to the COVID-19 Pandemic with the exception of individual sports and individual physical fitness. When the City of Petersburg reopens the recreation facilities - this website and other city media outlets will inform the public.
